Val Baffone

Learning the value of hard work and dedication

Val grew up in family dedicated to service. Val remembers her brothers serving in Vietnam and the pride and joy of their homecoming. Her father, a WWII veteran, spent his career in the Navy fighting for our country and later fighting for working men and women. This work brought the Baffone’s to Alaska over 30 years ago. Val' mother was her role model for getting involved. She led drives for the blood bank, was active in church programs and volunteered thousands of hours for local charities. Val's parents taught her "if you don't like the way things are...get up and do something about it." They led by example.

Hard work and dedication

Val first moved to Bayshore/Southport 18 years ago. Val worked hard and as a mediator and negotiator forging agreements under challenging circumstances. Her hard work and dedication led to success and eventually to her own business. Her reputation as tough but fair negotiator helped her build a successful career and business.  She has the time time and energy to listen to you and work hard for our neighborhoods and Alaska.

Community Involvement has always been a big part of Val’s life.

Working full time and caring for her mother for several years helped prepare her as an advocate for family caretakers who want to keep ageing parents at home. She’s worked with the Boy’s and Girls club to help open a safe place for our communities youth. As Court Appointed Special Advocate she’s worked on behalf of Alaska’s at risk youth.

Val's dedication to community service and proven leadership make her the right choice for Southwest Anchorage.

New energy working for you! Val’s ready to bring her experience and dedication to work for our community. She’s an independent experienced leader who takes the time to listen and work hard for real solutions.
